A Humbled Servant

I was sitting in my Philosophy of Art class last week and this thought struck me in mid day-dream.

What makes God happy?

I think I found one of many answers to my pondering day-dream.

"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God
something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a
man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death -
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the
highest place
and gave him the name that is above
every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee
should bow,
in heave and on earth and under
the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus
Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father."

To pursue our lives to be as Jesus lived is to make God happy. To become a humbled servant to Him, through pain, happiness, even death. He is over joyed when we give praise and seek a relationship with Him.

Live as Jesus did. Humble ourselves to be servants for the Lord. For when we serve, He blesses us through our service.
